Job Description

Undergraduate teaching assistants for ENGI 1100 and ENGI 1331 will work alongside faculty and lecturers to better facilitate learning and individualized instruction for First-Year Engineering Program (FYP) courses.  Teaching assistants will attend a training session a week before the semester begins and a short meeting each week with their course instructor to discuss grading and curriculum for upcoming week. Teaching assistants will be required to attend the scheduled course, hold 4 hours of lab hours to assist students, and spend up to 2 hours each week grading.  The total number of hours will be approximately 10 hours per week for 15 weeks.  Students will be required to get on payroll through the University in order to be paid hourly ($10/hr, bi-weekly paychecks).

Qualifications

  1. You must have earned an A- or A in Introduction to Engineering (1100) and Computing (1331)
  2. You must have a cumulative 3.25 GPA.
